Stray Kids made their official Met Gala debut, Monday, May 7, 2024. The Met Gala is an event in New York City to fundraise for the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Each year there is a theme that coincides the Met’s Costume Institute’s exhibition. The 2024 theme was “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.” The Met Gala is known as “fashion’s biggest night out”.
Although several Kpop idols have been invited in the past, this is the first time a Kpop group attends. Meaning, Stray Kids is the first Kpop group to attend the Met Gala.
Despite some unprofessional and disrespectful photographers throwing offensive comments at Stray Kids. The members kept calm and stayed poised. The members were styled by Tommy Hilfiger in classic suits, looking regal.
We hope next year Ana Wintour, editor-in-chief of Vogue, will invite competent photographers and press who understand the word respect.
